The Traveler's Guide for Exploring & Enjoying Second Life

A Word About Identity

A quick word about identity within TWA is necessary.  Because personal anonymity is one of the lynch-pins of Second Life, it will be protected with The Wandering Avatar as well.  At no time will anyone’s true name, photo, identity, place of residence, employer, etc. EVER be used in a post.  This is true even if that information has been provided by a resident in his or her profile.

The guardians of TWA are asking you, the blog community, to fiercely guard this as well by never including real identity information or photos in any posts, e-mails, or other contact.

Second Life residents are ONLY to be identified with their Second Life name even if a resident requests that information be provided.  The TWA blog is not a place for personal self-promotion, and certainly not for personal exposure.  Comments with this sort of information will be deleted automatically.

Second Life residents who wish to contribute articles, reviews, or other travel writing are asked to religiously guard the personal identity data as well.

Just thought we should be clear on this from day 1.
